COOKIE CONSPIRACY
President calls for Congressional Oversight Committee!
Are baking chip manufacturers attempting to overcharge consumers?
In an attempt to increase profits by duping an uneducated population, manufacturers of chips used in baking, such as chocolate chips and peanut butter chips, have reduced the size of their packages from sixteen ounces to twelve. However, they are still promoting cookie recipes that require sixteen ounces of chips. Not only does this give the manufacturers an immediate 33% increase in profits, but it also requires the consumer to buy two packages for one recipe.
President Obama has called for bi-partisan support to investigate whether the manufacturers have violated any Federal consumer laws.
For some reason, both the Democratic and Republican Representatives from Pennsylvania have denounced this as a typical Obama campaign trick.
