CHINA BESTS BP
China out to prove that it will not take a back seat to British Petroleum (BP).
China, home to the world’s fastest growing economy, and the world’s largest provider of poor-quality products, is still considered by many to be a third or fourth-world country. To combat this mis-perception, China has decided to show the world that it can top BP at its own game.
The Chinese government has admitted that it purposely caused an explosion at the port city of Dalian to prove that it can clean up the oil spill faster than it will take BP to clean up the mess in the Gulf of Mexico. This was already suspected when China announced that although the blast caused a fire that burned for three days, not one person was injured.
Chinese Oil Minister Qin Xiong stated that the oil spill will be cleaned-up in ten days, not the two months that it is taking BP. He refused to elaborate on the method being used for the clean-up. However, satellite images have shown billions of people marching to the Yellow Sea with rolls of Bounty paper towels under their arms.
