GYPSIES GET FRENCH KISS GOODBYE
Illegal immigration, long thought to be the major product exported by Mexico to the United States, has reared its head in the European Union(EU).
French President Nicolas Sarkozy has ordered the expulsion of all illegal Gypsy immigrants from France. Most of the Gypsies being rounded up in the pogrom are from Romania or Bulgaria, fellow members of the EU. Although citizens of EU members can freely cross borders without a visa, they must obtain work permits or residency permits if they choose to stay in a country for a long time. The Gypsies however choose to do neither, choosing instead to beg on the streets of French cities.
This is the second day in a row of tough talk from the French President. Yesterday France declared war (finally) on the terrorist group al-Qaida. Many European leaders are wondering whether this is an indication of a new martial attitude in the French government. [However, a White House senior spokesman hinted that France is still France and that it is picking on the Gypsies so that it can win at least one battle.]
When asked where the Gypsies were going to be deported to, Interior Vice-Minister Louie de Longba responded, “Where else but California? Who else gives full benefits to illegal immigrants that don’t pay a Euro in taxes.”
